HD media palyer ( good for you money )

I bought media this media player because my PS3 wasn't playing 30% of my films and MKV files.Advantages.:Playing any file ( I am not joking any file, there was some issues but there was bad ripped series so I'm not counting )Good interfaceAuto resume ( if you must go somewhere and you switch your media player you will watch the same movie from the same place )Compact ( Portable media player )Good temperature ( is not heating even if I am watching MKV 7GB files )English and Russian menu languageYou have anything you need on your remote control ( GOTO, forward, subtitles, autoformat .... )Disadvantages.:Remote control must be pointed right to infrared sensorI was looking for media player for long time and if you don't want to spend 80£ on WDTV or POPCORN buy this one becoause it doing the same for less

Once working this unit produces excellent results and does seem to play many file formats without problem.The unit arrives with an instruction booklet which tells you that to use HDMI 'just connect the cable', I found this not to be true, to get HDMI working you need to connect the unit to the TV via the composite cable provided. Once this is done you can see the menu on screen and modify the setup to PAL and HDMI, once completed the screen will go blank and you need to connect to HDMI which will now work.The statement that you can plug a hard disk into the USB port is true but there appears to be a maximum size of hard disk, I found that the unit would not recognise a 1Tb disk but is OK with a 250Gb or memory stick, I was not able to try a 500Gb disk.Finally, there is no manufacturer identified on the box or instructions so their claim that you can download updated software from their webstie is impossible as no website can be identified.

I can honestly say that this is the poorest quality media player I have ever owned.When I received it, it took forever to power up, the 2nd time I tried to use it it did not power up at all.It also does not have the ability to get rid of subtitiles.Cheap chinese rubbish.
